Welcome to one of the largest railroad museums in Japan!
One of the largest railroad museums in Japan, with a collection of 53 cars where you can learn about the history, safety, and technology of railways.
"See, touch, and experience" the world of railways.
You can experience railways by "seeing" actual vehicles and model trains, "touching" the mechanisms and models of stations and trains, and "experiencing" riding a steam locomotive or riding a bicycle for track maintenance.
Admission to Kyoto Railway Museum is valid for 30 days from the date of reservation & same-day reservations are available until 4:00 pm!
You can visit the museum whenever you like during your stay.
Since the tickets are sold in advance, you do not have to wait in line to buy tickets with cash!
Simply present the QR code to enter! During busy times, please line up at the entrance for "Early Bird Advance Tickets."

53 cars, from steam locomotives to Shinkansen bullet trains, are gathered in Umekoji, Kyoto. The Kyoto Railway Museum is one of the largest railroad museums in Japan, where visitors can learn about the history, safety, and technology of railroads through surprising and inspiring experiences.
[Precautions When Purchasing]
・Students (13-22 years old) are required to present a student ID. Please note that changes or cancellations are not possible after booking.
・Once a ticket has been issued, it cannot be refunded, so please check the desired date and ticket type before purchasing.
・Free for children under 3 years old.

The Museum Shop is located outside of the museum and is open to visitors without admission tickets.
