Activity
There are many bears to observe!
At the ranch, the bears play in age-appropriate groupings, sleeping, and sometimes play-fight with each other. You will fall in love with everything about the bears, from their adorable appearance to their ferocious howl.
Don't miss out on feeding the bears!
When they notice you holding food in your hand, some bears will even rise up and beckon to you! It's an excellent way to interact with them!
If you want a closer look, view the bears from the "human cage," a special observation chamber!
As the name implies, people get inside the cage and get up close to the bears! Additionally, the feeding vents are open, allowing you to hear the bears' roars and breathing up close. The bears are so near to you that you won't believe how large they are! One of the biggest draws at the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch is the "Human Cage."
Don't forget to grab some souvenirs!
The shop sells a wide variety of souvenirs, including standard souvenirs as well as unique items. Popular bear-themed products include bear paw-shaped cookies. Coffee and soft serve ice cream (Vanilla, Yubari Melon, and Mix flavors) are also available for takeout.

About 100 Hokkaido bears reside at the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch.
The large property is divided into zones based on the bears' ages.
Visitors can buy apples, biscuits, and other food items from the food counter at the entrance and enjoy feeding the bears.
The special observation room is available for anyone who want to get a close-up view of the bears.
