The museum collects cars from all over Japan, mainly those that were active in Japan in the 20th century, and always displays approximately 500 automobiles in their original state. A wide variety of vehicles from the early days of the automobile industry to postwar cars are on display.

There is also that one phantom car that can only be seen here!

The museum also exhibits automobiles that can only be seen in this museum, such as the Toyota 2000GT, a phantom masterpiece.

Cars with a sense of history!

Visitors can enjoy a variety of older automobile models, including historic cars, cars with family memories, and cars seen in movies from the past.

Various special exhibitions that pack in the fascination of automobiles!

The museum has special exhibitions of open cars from around the world, future hydrogen cars, and cars that graced the Heisei era, all of which can be seen because it is one of the largest museums of its kind.

Miniature cars are very popular with children and enthusiasts alike.

The "Miniature Cars of the World" section offers a wide variety of miniature cars that both adults and children can enjoy. The museum store also carries the Tomica series and other items popular with children.

[About this Facility]
The Motorcar Museum of Japan, one of the largest of its kind in the country at 12,000 square meters, displays a wide variety of vehicles, with approximately 500 on display at any given time.
Various types of vehicles are categorized by concept, ranging from old-fashioned vehicles, vehicles that exude a sense of nostalgia, and one-of-a-kind vehicles, as well as vehicles of the future.

・Admission is free for children under 5 years old.
・Please check the official website before visiting the museum as the opening hours are subject to change.
・Eating and drinking are prohibited in the building. Candy and chewing gum are also prohibited. Please use the vending machine corner in the lobby when eating or drinking.
・Please use the umbrella stand at the entrance/exit.
・Pets are not allowed in the building. However, assistance dogs for the physically challenged (guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs) are allowed.
・Smoking is not permitted in the building. Please smoke in the smoking area next to the entrance.
・Drones are not allowed on the premises.
・Photography is allowed only for personal use. Use of photographed images is the responsibility of the user.
・Please behave in a manner that does not disturb other visitors.
・The parking lot of the museum is for the exclusive use of visitors to the museum. Off-site meetings/owners' meetings without entry and permission are strictly prohibited. If you are found on private property, you will be reported for illegal parking.
