One of the Five Great Elders of the Toyotomi family, Ukita Hideie, constructed Okayama Castle's Tenshukaku. The impressive three-layer, six-story castle tower, which has an odd uneven pentagonal base, is supposed to have been inspired by Oda Nobunaga's Azuchi Castle's Tenshukaku. The ancient design of the castle before the Battle of Sekigahara is reflected in its Tenshukaku.

Notes
Okayama Castle was built by Ukita Hideie, who unified the country for Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The castle tower was reportedly completed in 1597.
The castle tower was damaged by Shuei during the war and was rebuilt in 1966 and selected as one of the 100 best castles in Japan.
The outer walls are covered with black partitions, giving it the name " Crow City," and the use of "gold leaf tiles" has earned it the nickname "Golden Crow City".
In addition to exhibits of actual cultural properties, the castle also includes various exhibits on the themes of the Warring States Period and the Edo Period.
