The 1-km long sightseeing course in the cave offers a wealth of attractions, including the Hyakumaizara formation and the Gankutsuou limestone.

You can also encounter rare creatures

Inside the cave, you can observe unique species like six types of bats and rare creatures such as the Akiyoshi Mizumushi (aquatic insect).

  • On the day of your visit, please present the QR code at the Akiyoshido Information Center and exchange it for your admission ticket.

Akiyoshi Cave, one of the largest limestone caves in Japan, is located approximately 100 meters underground in Akiyoshidai and is named after a sightseeing limestone cave.
Warm in winter and cool in summer, providing a comfortable setting for your sightseeing trip!

[Notes]
•The admission ticket is only valid on the day of exchange.
•If the Akiyoshido Information Center is closed due to a natural disaster or other reasons, the ticket may be exchanged at the Kurodani Information Center.
•There are three entrances to Akiyoshi Cave: the "Main Entrance," the "Kurodani Entrance," and the "Elevator Entrance."
*Please note that entry from the "Kuroya Entrance" and "Elevator Entrance" is allowed until 4:30 PM.
