Activity
The difference in elevation is the highest in Japan!
The elevation difference from Yase to the top of Mt. Hiei is 561m, the highest in Japan. The funicular connects the 1.3km route to the middle of Mt. Hiei in 9 minutes.
Scenery that can be enjoyed in all seasons
From Yase at the foot of Mt. Hiei, the trail passes through a tunnel of cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, and autumn leaves in fall to reach the summit.
Enjoy the view in the air with a panoramic view of Kyoto City.
It takes about 3 minutes by ropeway from the middle of Mt. Hiei to the top of Mt. Hiei. You can admire a panoramic view of the seasonal scenery and Kyoto City.
