We offer a truly unique and valuable opportunity to learn the traditional art of Japanese kite making and kite flying directly from skilled kite artisans (The Sagami Giant Kite Preservation Association).

You can design and create your original kite. Drawing your favorite illustrations or characters on washi paper will stimulate your creativity. It is a fun activity for individuals or groups.

Meet-up
Please gather at Sagami Odako Center by 9:50 AM on the day of your reservation. Please present the reservation screen of My Page at the reception desk.
Tour of the facility
At Sagami Odako Center, you can learn about the production process of large kites and how they soar into the sky. In addition, you can also enjoy watching videos of large kites actually flying in the sky
Make mini kites
Participants will experience making mini kites while learning from members of the Preservation Association.
