The old townscape of Hida Takayama retains the atmosphere of the Edo period (1603-1868)
The old townscape has been designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
Please enjoy the local delicacies and shopping in Takayama City
Hida beef, hoba (magnolia) miso, Takayama ramen, and mitarashi dango (rice dumplings with a sweet soy sauce glaze)—these are all unique delicacies you can only taste here!
Shirakawa-go is registered as a World Heritage Site
In the Gassho-zukuri Village, there are over 100 large and small Gassho-zukuri houses that have been preserved, and the traditional way of life is still being passed down.
After taking a stroll, it is recommended to relax and rejuvenate in a natural hot spring!
In the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village, there is a natural hot spring facility called Shirakawa-go no Yu.
Guests can enjoy the magnificent view of the Hakusan mountain range, the Gassho-zukuri Village, and the Sho River flowing below from the open-air bath.
