Activity

The museum consists of three facilities: Yumeji Art Museum (Main Building), the Yumeji Birthplace Memorial Museum, and Shonen Sanso

Takehisa Yumeji, a poet, painter, and designer from Okayama Prefecture, is the driving force behind the "Taisho Romanticism" movement, with his collection at its centerpiece.
*Please note that this ticket grants admission exclusively to the main building of the museum

The Yumeji Art Museum (Main Building) specializes in the works of Takehisa Yumeji

In the main building, we showcase a diverse collection of over 100 artworks, aligning with various themes across four special exhibitions held annually. The architecture, reminiscent of the Taisho era, is also a notable feature.

Nearest Station：Okayama Station (JR)

Directions to Nearest Station：Take the Okaden Bus (bound for Fujiwara Danchi/Korakuen) for about 15 minutes, then get off at Horaibashi/Yumeji Kyodo Bijutsukan-mae. Alternatively, take the streetcar (bound for Higashiyama) from Okayama Ekimae Station to Shiroshita Station and then walk for about 15 minutes
