Choose from more than 100 kimono!

A range of sizes is available for women up to 175 cm (3L) and men up to 190 cm (3L), with options for children 3 years and older.

On-site staff will help you select your kimono and accessories!

A professional dresser will assist you in putting on your kimono. The dressing process takes about 15 minutes per person, and our staff will also style your hair simply.

Take in the Edo-era (1603-1868) atmosphere as you explore Dejima in a kimono!

There is a Japanese-style room in the adjacent Chief Factor's Residence where you can also take photos.

Arrival procedures
Dejima Hoppen is located inside the former Dejima Dutch Trading Post. Upon entering the area, please head to the second floor of the Head Clerk's Quarters. Show your My Page reservation screen upon arrival.
Kimono Selection & Dressing
You will be dressed in the kimono of your choice.
Set off for a stroll around Dejima!
Dejima is home to fantastic photo spots! Take a leisurely stroll while learning about the area's rich history. Leave your luggage at the store and explore hands-free!
Return to the store and change back into your own clothes
Please make sure to return the items to the store by 4:30pm. After changing back into your clothes, the activity will conclude. Don’t forget to enjoy the beauty of Nagasaki at night!

Notes

Dejima Hoppen, a kimono rental shop located inside the former Dejima Dutch Trading Post, offers over 100 kimonos for men, women, and children aged three and up. Dejima, the only place in Japan where overseas trade occurred during the Edo period (1603-1868), is beautifully replicated here. Select your preferred kimono pattern, with preparation taking just 20 minutes per person. The rental includes hair accessories, Zori sandals, and a bag, so there's no need to bring anything.

Dejima features traditional tatami mat rooms and a small garden, offering the perfect backdrop for photos while immersing yourself in the area's history. Luggage storage is available (please keep your valuables with you), and you're welcome to leave and re-enter Dejima at no extra charge.

• Please be sure to return your kimono and all items by 4:30pm.

• The experience may be canceled for safety reasons due to inclement weather, natural disasters, or other various circumstances.
