Features and details of Sapporo Bankei Ski Area

Sapporo Bankei Ski Area is just a 20-minute drive from downtown Sapporo and offers 17 trails for everyone from families to advanced riders. The popular Waku Waku Snowland is a favorite among families and travelers alike—perfect for your first snow experience! With night skiing available daily until 9:00pm, you can hit the slopes even after work or school. From gentle slopes ideal for first-timers and families to challenging runs that host international competitions for top athletes, the resort's 17 trails make full use of the area's varied terrain. The expanded Waku Waku Snowland features a separate, safe area away from the main slopes, where children and visitors can enjoy sledding, tubing, and snow striders.
In March 2026, the resort will host the FIS Snowboard World Cup on its halfpipe course!
