Open season
Dec. 14th to Mar. 31st (Schedule is subject to change depending on snow conditions.)Osorakan Snow Park stretches across Mt. Osorakan (1,346 meters), the highest peak in Hiroshima Prefecture. From the summit, which offers panoramic views of the Sea of Japan, visitors can enjoy a thrilling downhill ride with a maximum run of 2.5 kilometers and a vertical drop of 500 meters. Occasionally, you may also be lucky enough to witness frost-covered trees near the summit, a rare sight in western Japan.
The slopes are covered in 100% natural snow and spread widely across the mountain, divided into four areas. The upper section is steep and best suited to advanced skiers, while the lower section features broad, gentle slopes that accommodate everyone from first-timers to advanced riders.
The Kids' Area, located in front of the Ushigoya Kogen Rest House and featuring the Momo Air Dome, is especially popular with young children. Three restaurants are located within the park, offering a wide variety of menu options, and restrooms are available 24 hours a day.
