ZAO LIZA World
Resort features
The snow quality is one of the best in Yamagata Prefecture, and you can enjoy superb powder snow and compressed snow slopes. Head to Zao Liza World for skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. There are many variations of lift tickets, and you can enjoy a full day of skiing and snowboarding at surprisingly low rates with the Family Plan for families and the Equipment-Free Ski & Snowboard Plan for those without equipment. The slopes have a wide range of beginner courses that first-timers can enjoy. The summit is 1446 meters above sea level, where frost-covered trees cover the entire area. After skiing the 1.3-kilometer slope, warm up your body with a delicious meal at the restaurant. Recommended dishes include oven-baked pizza baked in an authentic Italian stone oven and Omurice (Japanese omelet rice).
